Our History
The Ranvier Group, Inc. was established May 1, 2012. Chris Ranvier set out to create a full service manufacturer representative that caters to each level of our industry. We are thoroughly integrated with distribution, contractors, engineers and architects throughout our serviced markets.
Our company’s engagement and communication among the manufacturers, distributors, engineers, contractors and end-users will be thorough and valuable. Our customers will want to do business with our team because we are knowledgeable, easy to work with, and we make their business more profitable and rewarding.
Chris Ranvier, Founder
Chris Ranvier started his career in the industry in distribution in 1996. He has worked at different levels in the industry. He has been a rep, distributor and worked for a plumbing company as well. Now in his 28th year in the industry, Chris emphasizes product competency with his own staff and works to help educate the industry on all levels.

The Ranvier Group operates a distribution center and offices in Midway, KY and Louisville, KY. We offer a delivery service for our distributors and jobsites out of the distribution center with dedicated routes to every market in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. He entered the Plumbing Industry in 2011 at The James Shearer Company a plumbing manufacturers rep. His roles included inside/outside sales with a focus on the commercial lines. He also assisted the company with accounting and operations. Jason has continued his roles when the with The Ranvier Group who purchased the James C. Shearer company in 2021. Jason is now a Senior Engineered Water Solutions Manager for The Ranvier group/James C. Shearer Company specializing in all pumping systems and commercial bathroom new and renovation.
